An exciting match-up between two of the South West Football League’s top women’s sides is set to headline an action-packed round of football this weekend.

Reigning premiers Busselton are set to hit the road for the first time this season when they venture to VC Mitchell Park to take on Donnybrook on Saturday.

After keeping both Eaton and Dunsborough scoreless in the last two rounds, Busselton will be looking to continue their dominant run and extend their undefeated streak to a third win.

Donnybrook, who have managed commanding wins of their own over Eaton and Dunsborough in their season so far, will be returning to the football field after two weeks off due to the Easter break and a bye last weekend.

With a big contingent of the competition’s top talents set to line up against each other, the match-up is sure to have people on the edge of their seats.

Meanwhile, Bunbury will be keen to continue building on their strong form from recent weeks when they travel to Collie to take on the Eagles at the Collie Recreation Ground.

Fresh off the back of a massive 7.2 (44) to 0.1 (1) win over Harvey-Brunswick-Leschenault on home turf last weekend, the Bulldogs will be looking to extend their undefeated run to a third victory, while Collie will be keen to continue improving after showing promising signs in defence during their 7.10 (52) to 1.0 (6) losing effort to Carey Park.

On Sunday, South Bunbury will seek to bounce back on home turf when they host Dunsborough at Hands Oval.

After being impacted by player availability and injuries in the midst of wet conditions at Glen Huon Reserve, the Tigers were left licking their wounds following their tough four-point loss to Eaton last weekend.

On the other hand, Dunsborough are continuing to chase their first win for the season after being kept scoreless by Busselton last weekend.

While the Sharks have continued to show improvement across the backline, they will need to focus on driving the ball forward to rack up more points.

Elsewhere, Eaton will be looking to start building up a winning streak when they host Harvey Bulls at Glen Huon Reserve on Sunday.

While Eaton managed to edge out the Tigers last weekend, they will face a tough challenge against the Bulls, who return to the field after two weeks off.

Despite having a bye last weekend, the Bulls have managed to continue leading the charge on top of the ladder with a 2-0 record, with the Dons, Bunbury and Busselton on their tail by percentage.

Both Carey Park and Harvey-Brunswick-Leschenault will have a bye.
