SWHL 2022: Boyanup continues to lead the way in the men’s and women’s South West Hockey League

Boyanup continues to lead the way in the men’s and women’s South West Hockey League after nine rounds. Reigning premiers in both leagues, Boyanup is well placed to once again take both flags. In the women’s, a round five draw against second-placed Associates is the only blemish on an otherwise spotless record for the ladder leaders. At the weekend, Boyanup beat bottom-placed Exies 5-0 to keep a stranglehold on the competition. Associates, who beat fifth-placed Towns/Souths 3-1 at the weekend, are in second on the ladder and are seven goals off the pace on goal difference. Robins and Marist round out the top four, with four and two wins respectively. In the men’s, Boyanup remain on top after a 3-1 victory over Exies at the weekend. Wests remain in second after a 4-2 win over Marist, while Towns/Souths leapfrogged the men in blue with a 6-1 win over Associates. The loss to Wests means Marist have fallen to fourth on the ladder, while Exies are fifth and Associates sixth.
