Three people charged after police swarm Purga, near Ipswich, after alleged gunfire triggers suburb lockdown

Three people have been charged following a dramatic police operation in Purga - triggered by allegations of shots being fired and leading to an emergency declaration as officers swarmed the neighbourhood.
The emergency declaration was made under the Public Safety Preservation Act (PSPA) on Monday evening, with an exclusion zone established around a property on Ipswich Boonah Rd.

Queensland Police said they were called to the address about 4.35pm following reports shots had been fired.
No injuries were reported.
At 5.45pm, officers declared an emergency situation, swarming the area and locking it down as specialist police responded.
Dramatic police footage shows a man being handcuffed against an armoured vehicle at night, surrounded by multiple officers, including heavily armed units, before being escorted to a waiting patrol car.

By Tuesday morning, police confirmed a 29-year-old Willow Vale woman, a 32-year-old Kensington Grove man, and a 34-year-old Nerang man had each been charged with multiple offences.

Each is facing two counts of entering premises with intent to commit an indictable offence, and one count each of serious assault of a police officer while armed, unlawful use of a motor vehicle, possession of explosives without authority, and acts intended to cause grievous bodily harm.
All three have been refused police bail and appeared before Ipswich Magistrates Court on Tuesday.
