About 60 people attended the dawn service at Halls Creek to commemorate Anzac Day on Saturday.

Attendees paused for solemn reflection, paying tribute to Australians and New Zealanders who have given their lives or served in the military, including contributions from Indigenous people from both countries.

After the ceremony, attendees gathered for a community barbecue hosted by the WA Police Force at the visitor centre.

Organisers also acknowledged the efforts of volunteers who contributed to the morning’s proceedings, helping ensure the event ran smoothly.
