The Barrabundis have been crowned Kununurra Squash Club champions in the first competition for the year, after a strong win over the Mocko Paulos.

With four games already played before the grand final night on May 4, the title was looking fairly certain for the Barrabundis — who had won three of four.

In a small win for the Mocko Paulos, team captain Paul Mock was able to claim the top line honours with a strong victory over Barrabundis team captain Brad Pedrotti.

Team 2 clutched the coveted wooden spoon, with Les Wain and Michael Gasmier there to collect the prize.

The club will now look forward to season two, with grading set to take place on May 25.
