Road workers break up road rage fight on Jandakot Road which was captured on dashcam

Road workers were forced to intervene during a violent road rage incident in Perth’s southern suburbs on Tuesday.

The peak-hour brawl, captured on dashcam, was filmed on Jandakot Road and shared by Facebook page WA Incident Alerts.

The footage shows the driver of a black Toyota Hilux driving through roadworks in a 40km/h zone when he stops suddenly and immediately gets into a fist fight with a man wearing high-viz.

The pair exchange blows, with the man in high-viz seen slipping on the road, allowing the Hilux driver to lay in several punches - all while traffic queues up behind them.

A group of road workers eventually stepped in to stop the ugly scrap, which was witnessed by horrified onlookers, before the men left in their cars.

WA Police is unaware of any reports being made in relation to the fight.

It comes just days after a man was charged over another wild road rage incident in Perth, in which a man was allegedly stabbed, beaten and had his car rammed.

The two men were seen in a fight after attempting to merge on Tonkin Highway.

The injured man was hospitalised in a stable condition.

The driver of the Ford Falcon, a 45-year-old man from Lockridge, has been charged with reckless driving and grievous bodily harm.

He was refused bail and is due to appear in the Midland Magistrates Court on Tuesday.
