Missing man John Stavreff, 84, found safe and well by off-duty police officer

A missing 84-year-old man who was last seen leaving Royal Perth Hospital has been found safe and well by an off duty police officer.

John Stavreff was last seen leaving RPH about 2.30pm on Wednesday.

Police said Mr Stavreff lives with dementia and may become easily confused.

Police were urging anyone who spotted Mr Stavreff to contact them immediately.

But on Thursday morning police said the 84-year-old was located near Great Eastern Highway and Orrong Road in Rivervale about 10.30am by an off-duty police officer.

Police have thanked the public for their help.
