Pot plant thief caught on camera letting rip during Mandurah raid in bizarre security footage

VideoThieves scaled four floors up the side of a Townsville apartment building to break in while a former police officer was sleeping, stealing her car keys and two vehicles.

A suspected pot plant thief has been caught on security camera doing a lot more than pinching the greenery from a Mandurah home.

The night footage appears to show the person bending down during the raid — and letting rip with a fart.

The unexpected loud noise has turned an otherwise ordinary bit of security footage into a moment worthy of 6PR’s Rumour File.

Homeowner Karla said that she had already had multiple plants stolen throughout the year and did not have a security camera of her own.

She was inside with her front window open when she heard her neighbour Mel yelling profanities.

“I’ve actually had multiple plants of mine stolen through this year and I don’t have a Ring cam,” Karla said.

“I just had my front window open and I heard my neighbour Mel yelling out profanities. And I’ve gone out, ‘What’s wrong?’

“She’s like, ‘These pieces of s..t had stolen plants from me’.

“I’m like, ‘Well, you got your Ring cam. Let’s check it out’.”

The pair initially watched the footage furious at the suspected thief — but their anger quickly gave way to hysterical laughter when the unexpected noise emerged.

“One moment we’re like just talking profanity, thinking what a low life, you know,” Karla said.

“Next minute, we’re holding on to each other for dear life, crying, trying to stand up because of that noise.”

Karla said when the thief bent over to steal the pot plants, karma caught up with them — and they perhaps didn’t make a clean getaway!

“I reckon that’s the moment they realised that they sharted and not farted,” she laughed.

“And I’m a big believer in karma and I’m hoping that they weren’t wearing underpants.

“This is a full-bodied industrial-strength fart, like, it sounded like the arse had developed a faulty exhaust system.”
