Epic photos of a storm in Mandurah have captured the moment several bolts of lightning lit up the sky.

The electrifying images were taken by photographer Grahame Kelaher just before midnight on Friday.

The thunderstorm was over quickly, but not before putting on a light show for the people of Peel.

Friday night’s show comes just four months after Broome skies were lit up by an impressive lightning display.

The town endured an hour of bolts, rumbles, cracks and showers in December last year, which finally signalled the long-awaited arrival of the wet season.

However, luckily for the people of Perth a spokeswoman for the Bureau of Meteorology said the City’s bad weather was moving east towards the Goldfields region.

Early next week, Perth could expect fairly mild weather, she said. Temperatures were set to drop slightly to mid-to-high 20s, while humidity decreased.

Perth’s long-range weather forecast:

Sunday: 19-28C

Monday: 18-29C

Tuesday: 19-27C

Wednesday: 17-27C

Thursday: 15-31C

Friday: 18-32C

Saturday: 19-30C
