Nine Fremantle players featured in Peel Thunder’s narrow loss to East Fremantle at the WACA Ground on Saturday to go with one in the reserves. Here’s how they fared:

Seniors

Connor Blakely: Was the pick of the Fremantle-listed players in his return from a finger injury, racking up the possessions in the midfield.

Neil Erasmus: Turned it on after half-time for the second week in a row, including a stunning checkside goal on the run early in the final term.

Joel Hamling: Was excellent down back, producing several goal-saving efforts and rarely losing a one-on-one contest. Kept Jon Marsh relatively quiet other than a two-goal burst.

Matt Johnson: Played a mix of inside midfield and wing. Started strongly before fading late but certainly building confidence after a lengthy injury.

Sebit Kuek: Had a few nice moments but was well held for the most of it by Matthew Jupp, kicking just one goal.

Lloyd Meek: The towering ruckman had an interesting battle with Jeremy Goddard, with both players having their moments of dominant.

Darcy Tucker: Was used in a variety of roles and booted three goals in the first half before getting tagged out of it with one disposal after half-time as he battled a hand injury.

Joel Western: Was creative by foot inside 50, setting up a couple of Blair Bell goals.

Nathan Wilson: Provided some good rebound from the backline with his run and elite ball use.

Karl Worner: Was good in patches without starring. Ended the match with ice on his left quad.

Reserves

Eric Benning: Was serviceable in the ruck as he builds fitness following an interrupted start to his time at Fremantle.
