Cruising from Fremantle up the west coast of WA on Crown Princess to Darwin, then joining The Ghan for the inland luxury train journey south to Adelaide is a brilliant idea.

And Holidays of Australia have packaged that up into a 14-day, 13-night trip leaving Freo on October 18, 2026. It is from $9769 per person.

ABOUT THE TRIP

+ The Ghan Expedition and Crown Princess West Coast Cruise and Top End Getaway includes nine days and eight nights on the Crown Princess cruising from Fremantle to Darwin, calling at Exmouth and Broome. The cruise includes onboard meals and entertainment.

+ The ship will cruise through Yampi Sound and along the Kimberley Coast.

In Darwin, there is a transfer from the cruise terminal to the hotel with a Darwin City Sights tour. It includes entry to the Royal Flying Doctors Service and Darwin Waterfront Lunch Experience.

+ There are two nights in Darwin at the DoubleTree by Hilton Esplanade Darwin, including daily breakfast.

+ Then there is a full-day tour to Litchfield National Park, including lunch. The Litchfield National Park Pass is included.

+ Guests will be transferred from the hotel to the rail terminal.

+ Then there is the four-day, three-night trip on The Ghan, from Darwin to Adelaide. Dining, fine wines and beverages are included.
