An abandoned home in the heart of Perth was at the centre of a major emergency on Sunday as it suddenly went up in flames.
Five firefighters were called to the vacant property on Shenton Street in Northbridge at about 10.10am as the angry blaze took over the derelict building.
Crews from Perth, Osborne Park and Vincent Career Fire and Rescue Service attended and had the fire controlled by 10.28am
St John Ambulance was on standby at the scene, but no one was found or unaccounted for, DFES said.
The cause of the fire is not known.
WA Police Arson Squad officers conducted an investigation and confirmed the fire was not being treated as suspicious.
