A driver had a lucky escape after somehow wedging his car sideways between two walls at a suburban disability support centre.
The car crashed late on Thursday night into the Rocky Bay Duncraig facility but it wasn’t until late Friday afternoon that the Hyundai Sante Fe was retrieved from the crevice between the facility and its retaining wall.
The driver, a man in his 40s, was not injured and had been able to free himself from the wreckage unassisted shortly after the late night crash. Police are continuing to investigate the circumstances.
It’s understood the car struck the side of a bedroom where a young man was sleeping at the time.
Neighbours told PerthNow they heard a “loud bang” but it wasn’t until Friday morning they realised the source.
