A popular cocktail bar in Perth’s north-east has shocked regulars with its last call.
Volare Bar has been a staple for Maylands locals since it opened in 2022, dubbed as a “deli meets wine bar”.
Known for its laid-back vibe, the spot quickly established itself among nearby residents as a perfect place for a drink — boasting an extensive martini list — or to dine in on the renowned food.
Despite the reputation it had built in the community, the bar announced it would close its doors after a final service this week.
“With heavy hearts, we say goodbye to Volare. After much consideration, the difficult decision has been made,” a social media statement said.
“What made this place special was never just the cocktails, the food or the venue itself — it was the people, the staff, the regulars, the friends made along the way, and the countless memories created within these walls.

“Thank you to everyone who was part of the Volare journey. We’re incredibly proud of what we built together and grateful for every laugh, late night, celebration and connection.
“After service on June 13, 2026, this chapter comes to an end, but the memories will remain.”
The shock closure of the beloved spot has left regulars shattered, with many sending support and sharing their dismay online.
“Oh no!!! One of our absolute favourites ❤️,” one commenter said on their post.

“Sorry to hear guys good memories coming in for the George T stagg (my favourite bourbon) food was delish and such lovely staff,” another wrote.
A third added, “sad to see you go team, solid innings.”
The bar will be serving locals and visitors until its final day on Saturday, June 13.
