The sprint superstar leads Australia’s medal charge on Day 5 in Glasgow, with plenty more medals up for grabs in the pool on the penultimate day of swimming action.

And no luck for Australian Georgia Harris in the third heat.
She ran eighth in a time of 11.90sec.
“I didn’t expect to be swimming today,” she joked with Channel Seven, referencing increasing rain in Glasgow.

Jenna Forrester has continued a golden Commonwealth Games by winning the women’s 200m individual medley!
That’s her third victory in a final in Glasgow, alongside success in the women’s 200m backstroke and women’s 400m individual medley.
Lewis sixth
An 11.52sec effort from Ebony Lane in the second semifinal, which won’t be quite good enough to get through to the final.
“Seeing the time that Torrie ran, I’m so proud of her. It’s insane,” she told Channel Seven.

And Torrie Lewis has gone through to the women’s 100m final in an Australian record time!

“It was very good,” an understated Lewis told Channel Seven.
Nketia joins Kennedy in final!
Eddie Nketia will be joining Lachlan Kennedy in the men’s 100m final!
He was the fastest starter in the third semifinal heat and found a late second win to post a 10.03sec time.
“It’s been a journey, man,” he tells Channel Seven.
“I’m just so happy with where I’m at right now ... I’m so blessed.”
Gold for Southam in men’s 100m freestyle
Meanwhile, Flynn Southam has toppled Kyle Chalmers in the men’s 100m final!
Southam was out to a hot start and held off bronze medallist Chalmers to claim gold in 47.13sec.
“I had a lot of people doubting me, and I was doubting myself at some points, but at the end of the day, I back myslef in a race, and that was a bloody good one,” Southam said.
“Four years ago, I was a little boy. Now, I’m a man. I belong here and I’m here to stay.”
Earlier, Kiralee Hayes won gold in the women’s 50m freestyle S13 final.
Browning out
Rohan Browning has run a 10.14sec, which was good enough for fourth in his heat.
It’s the best of his season comfortably, but it won’t get him through to the final.
“I came here totally at peace with whatever the result was going to be. I did everything I could,” he told Channel Seven.
“I didn’t run my best, but I’m at peace with that.”

Meanwhile, the men’s 100m final is about to be swum at the Tollcross International Sporting Centre.

Kennedy through to 100m final!
Australia’s fastest man Lachlan Kennedy has run a 9.94sec in his semifinal heat of the men’s 100m, only one-hundreth of a second short of the Australian record!
That will get him through to the final.
He was second behind Cameroon’s Emmanuel Eseme in 9.89.
“It was a wet track, but he certainly lit it up,” Channel Seven commentator Tasmyn Manou said.
“It felt good. I know I’ve got things to work on for the final but ... I’m happy, good for my confidence,” Kennedy told Channel Seven.

Plenty happening at the Scotstoun Stadium this morning.
The women’s heptathlon shot put and women’s high jump are about to get under way, while we are only minutes away from the men’s and women’s 100m semifinals.
